With lower acidity levels, the woody and earthy base notes become more apparent giving it a bracken-like flavour and the saltiness comes to the fore. The general flavour of limes remains. Add tequila for a coffee margarita?
A tad under-extracted for my liking.

Sweet, Acidic

Flavour

Primarily top end flavours with crisp, clean acidic notes of lime and grapefruit. Some underlying stone fruit, roaster notes plums; less so in this shot.

Comment

Lovely, crisp, atypical coffee from Bolivia. And that alone is enough to justify drinking it. Was good brewed; better on espresso. Good in pretty much all espresso coffees.

Pleasant, zingy lime and grapefruit notes.

Comment

While this coffee is good, maybe even really good, it is still its ability to confound expectations – rather than outright flavour – that makes it a coffee of note.
